The Experience

Before You Go

Hydrate for the desert

Bring at least 1 liter of water; refilling isn’t available on route and heat rises fast on slickrock.

Protect your eyes and face

Use sunglasses and a buff to keep dust and sun out of your eyes while riding.

Wear closed‑toe shoes and long pants

Closed shoes plus long pants reduce abrasion from foot pegs, rocks and dust; knee/shin guards available on request.

Respect the bridge crossing

Follow your guide when venturing across the Gemini Bridges—exposure and wind make footing tricky on top.

Local Knowledge

Hidden Gems

  • Goonie‑Bird rock spire—an excellent photo subject on the canyon approach
  • A plateau overlook west of the bridges with sweeping views of the Colorado River valley

Wildlife

  • Common raven
  • Lizards (side‑blotched and collared species)

Conservation Note

Stay on permitted routes and avoid cryptobiotic soil crust; the quiet e‑bikes reduce noise impact, but responsible riding preserves fragile desert ecosystems.

Ute and Paiute peoples traveled and hunted in the Moab basin for centuries; later routes used by ranchers and miners evolved into the jeep tracks riders now follow.

Common Questions

What’s included in the tour?

DOT‑certified helmet, electric dirt bike, safety briefing, and guide services; knee/shin guards available on request.

Is prior off‑road experience required?

No — the bikes are user‑friendly and guides provide instruction, but riders should be comfortable balancing and using throttle/brake controls.

Are there age or height limits?

Minimum height is 5'5"; operators enforce this for rider safety and bike fit.

How physically demanding is the tour?

Expect moderate activity: some standing, occasional short hikes (about 300 meters to the bridge) and handling the bike over uneven terrain.

Can I ride across the Gemini Bridges?

Guides allow visitors to walk and, when conditions are safe, carefully traverse the top; follow the guide’s direction—wind and exposure make it hazardous at times.

What is the cancellation policy?

Full refund if canceled at least 24 hours before departure; tours can be canceled for bad weather or low participation.
